After last nights hilarious "conversation" with Dave. I feel I would like to clear a few things up.
But first for those of you who were not online, I will provide you with a brief rundown.
Dave has a problem with people using shortcuts in Trackmania. It annoys him.
A lot of us think Dave's track is a bit pants.
Now these two totaly unrelated issues have now morphed into one huge meta issue for Dave.
I know im paraphrasing here but there was a comment that went something like.
"Well I dont care if you think my tracks shit. If I have to take it of then I will take of every track I dont like aswell!"
I am not responsible for people using shortcuts in tracks. Belive it or not they are a happy accident and none where intentional.
You are responsible for your track and its short falls. Take the constructive feedback and make a V1.2.

Dave please remember that a critisism of your creation is not a critisism of you. I cant speak for everyone and I would not presume to. But as the only person with the balls to say it, all I can say is your tracks a munter m8y sort it out.

Wow. Dolly out of pram much?

It's simple. You don't like a track. I don't like a track. We've both expressed this opinion to each other.

You don't see why you should play the track you don't like until I've sorted it out - which I've said that I will do. As it happens I agree with a lot of the criticism.

However, I don't see why I should play the tracks that you've refused to sort out - despite there being no good reason not to do so.

There's no difference between the two standpoints - except you just think that I should accept it because you say so. You sum up what I was saying last night before you emoed with this quote:

Take some of your own advice, eh?

Oh hum.
I realise we wont see eye to eye on this.
Just to say you have slightly missed the point.
I know youve thrown your toys away aswell as the dummy but I dont mind. The tracks are fine its the way people play em that you dont like. As you seem to have taken a moral standpoint and assumed some sort of righteous highground pointing down on all the sinners. As is your right but please dont try and make the rest of the world conform to your views. I mean what are you Korean? To put it bluntly I will not alter a track to pander to your views on how people should play them. As thats nothing to do with you or me but down to the players.
Moving onto what you seem determined to address as only my point of view(wich it isnt but yet again everyone is comfortable with me taking the flak). The track needs work, not because there is a flaw with the way people play it but because no one enjoys playing it. As in No one but you.
Ok?
Right then lets move on and do something a little more fun.

You generally tell me off for that.

Stumps - I don't think I've missed the point at all. You don't like the Tal Layers track. I've said I'll sort it. Is that not what you want?

I don't like the multiple tracks which can be exploited. You've said that you basically don't care and don't see what the problem is.

I'm objecting - as I was last night - to the double-standards in these two positions.

If you don't care to do something about it then that's up to you. I can hardly force you to change them, can I?
