What Screen Resolutions Do You Use?

I've been doing some reading up on HDTV and HD gaming via consoles recently and found that:

A: The PS3 and Xbox 360 have very few titles that are actually 1080p (True HD. 1920*1080)
B: Most console games run in strangely low resolutions. (The slightly dated Halo 3 runs at 1138x640) And as a result, get scaled up resulting in slightly grainy textures.

I guess the majority of the details are made up from clever texture use but it still feels like we're being cheated out of a proper HD gaming experience. At least until the next generation of consoles can sustain a smooth framerate at high resolutions.

I run my desktop and 99% of games at 1440*900 (widescreen) because that's what my crappy old monitor is limited to.
(The remaining 1% is usually older titles like Area 51 which refuses to go above 1024*768.)

So, anyone know of any true HD titles for any console?
And what resolution do you use for your desktop and for gaming?
"And so is the Golden City blackened With each step you take in my Hall. Marvel at perfection, for it is fleeting. You have brought Sin to Heaven And doom upon all the world."

5760x2160.
I like these calm moments before the storm. They remind me of Beethoven.

1920 x 1080, unless the game is quite demanding when I'll drop it down.
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
