Crowd control is back : yay !
As our - for the time being (come on you slackers !) - only tank, it often falls upon me to mark mobs with certain icons.

What annoys me almost as much as Stumpy with his puppet-master spell or Flash/Pete with their let's-throw-the-mobs-into-other-mobs-and-fuck-up-aggro-completely manowvers is when the skull dies last in a group of enemies. This is no problem when you're overpowered and the only dps is AoE-dps but it is now and I would imagine it will get worse when we start doing erotics.

So, this is how we do it :

skull - single target dps this as your first target (full nuke at all times)
cross - target that you engage after skull dies (often replaced by skull after a few seconds)
star - sap (will add another one when 2 rogues in party)
diamond - sheep/turtle/penguin
square - frost trap
moon - shackle
triangle - banish/enslave
Obviously we'll need to be somewhat creative with these as party setups will vary but this seems to be a good starting ground to me.

When we use cc be carefull with your AoE spells, too often sheeped or sapped targets are in combat just seconds after they're initiated (DO NOT USE starfire, whirlwind or whatever AoE-spell your class uses on groups where we use crowd control !) making my life harder and the healer's life too consequently.

I will apply this when tanking but would suggest we would all use the same icons when doing it (= less confusing).
Furthermore I would suggest everybody to get the keybinds for marking so that it get's interchangeable and in the end we won't have to use it anymore when people will become confident enough.

This might all seem a bit obvious but I thought it wouldn't hurt to refresh it.

For the record, I've only ever used my Thunderstorm to knock mobs back your way after agro problems or when my Mana was desperately low.
(Thunderstorm restores 8% of my Mana.)

I don't do it for kicks, I do it because it's part of my rotation. And my rotation is working well at the moment.

But the above can mostly be ignored because:
A: At 85 I'll be equiping the Glyph of Thunderstorm which increase the mana regenerated by Thunderstorm by 2% (removing the knockback effect) and
B: I'll probably be Paladin tanking and complaining that no-one's hitting the skull.

I understand that you're pissed off that the group struggled, but remember that it's early days yet and people are constantly upgrading their gear.

We'll be raiding soon enough. Maybe it time for some new Guild Members to fill out the raids and to assist with the guild achievements + levelling system.
