I'm still debating weather to get back into WoW or wait unti Cataclysm.

Is there much new to see and do?

I really don't want to grind Justice Points for armour (unless it's fun) when I could be playing:

Castle Crashers, the new Medal of Honor, Fable 3, Natural-Selection 2 etc.
(I'm enjoying my console gaming at the moment.)

So yeah, thoughts on the new patch plskthx

It is not fun to grind justicepoints at all. It just the same instance like last year.. When we grinded EoT and EoF.
And your cap of 4k JP will fill up quick. Esp if you are gonna save them for armor at lvl 85.. No idea at all. If you gonna get T10 for the points so yes go for it, but it will be kind of wasted anyway as the new cata gear will be better, and its not like long until cata comes.

I guess you could find ICC-raids fun as you haven't been there, but you are not going in there in sub gear in a pug and a guildrun isn't gonna happen.

You will have more fun with other games at the moment I guess, unless you really like to spend some time with the rest of the pack while they are playing wow.

That's my main reason for my recent reactivation.
* I enjoyed doing Nexus on normal level with Stump's level 69 mage where all he did was shouting : "it's a big massive ball of fiery dooooom !" all the time.
* I enjoyed doing Pit of Saron with Flasheart and Stumpessa on heroic where - just like in the old days - only the two pugs seemed to keep dying
* I enjoyed questing again with Fabulosa (my lvl 76 rogue) flanked by two mad level 80 druid cows although they managed to make my quest 144 times longer than usual by always killing my quest mobs.
* I enjoyed Gaz killing my chicken over and over (MORRRDORR !)

Basically the patch adds nothing new or interesting (apart from the new talent trees and the vamped up glyph system), but in a way it's good to be back and it's good to get some dust of all my armour before Cataclystic Events of the Third Kind happen and I will have to k33l the world .. again ... You know what, I might actually dust of the old zombie and ask Gaz to stop choking your chicken and kill some mobs for me.
I'm only a little bit French...

Yes, totally forgot this part. nothing new to see.. Although if you play a mage you will see BIG numbers.. They are shittaly overpaoered atm.
Talents is a core thing now, as you have to really choose a tree to fill before taking on another one, but that I think you already know.
So basically if you fancy play with the cows, whether it be pingpong fleshlight or wow go ahead, but nothing new to see at this point in game.

Anyone know *roughly* how many Justice points you get for... let's say... The Nexus?

I may wait for Stumpy and co to hit 72 and then I'll rejoin because my Paladin, Mage, and Priest are around that level.

Still undecided, mostly because last night (after L4D2) I had fun coding and then playing ODST and Dragon Age on the 360.

-playing ... on the 360.

Lich King Heroic dungeon boss -- 16 Justice Points
Lich King daily normal dungeon -- 12 Justice Points
Lich King daily Heroic dungeon -- 23 Justice Points
Lich King raid boss -- 23 Justice Points

Cataclysm Heroic dungeon boss -- 75 Justice Points
Cataclysm daily normal dungeon -- 75 Justice Points
Cataclysm daily Heroic dungeon -- 75 Valor Points
Cataclysm 10-player raid boss -- 75 Valor Points
Cataclysm 25-player raid boss -- 105 Valor Points

My 360 died on me this weekend :/
I have had it from day one, when I stood in queue for 6 hours to the releaseparty in Stockholm..

Hmm, that's less than I expected.

Especially when WoWHead is saying one piece of Shaman tier 10 armour will set me back 1,100 Justice Points.

Gloves & Shoulders: 695 each
Chest, Helm & Legs: 1,100 each
Total: 4,690 justice points

Dull. Grinding for the lose.

It now all boils down to weather I think playing as an Elemental Shaman is fun or not.

So, what will remain from the old Azeroth after Cataclysm ?
Will some areas never be the same again ?
What if you don't buy the expansion, do you just see another Barrens than eg. your guildmates who did buy ?

Ok, I got it downloaded, resubbed, went through the painful patch process and went out bashing with Bisi, Gaz,Stumpy and Shepp. It was rather nice to have the old group back together. I'm pleased I have started now, as I think I would have struggled with re-setting all the talent trees on the 7th when I wanted to be out keeling stuff.
It's Bennetts big consumer show this weekend so I'm not getting much time to atm, but hopefully I will be able to get on Friday night around 10 and after the middle of next week I should be about a bit more often.

Of course everything will happen to every player, they cannot have that big phasing.
Even for the vanilla-user it will be a new thing with the world changing.
Remember that every game-trial start in "vanilla"-style. With only Undead, Troll , Tauren and Orcs.
Do you think people would like to invite friends to WoW if they couldn't play with just because they are playing the trial?
