Dragon Age Origins
Just started playing this today and am about 1 hour in.
(Probably less as I spent 20 minutes wandering around a Tower and 15 minutes choosing my character name, race, appearance, class, stat point placement etc.)
So far it's good fun. Those of you who've played BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic will be at home almost instantly.
The UI is very similar and the combat has the same feel as KOTOR.
I choose a female Elf Mage. And then realized the game was doing something I highly approved of.
It was taking screenshots at key moments in the story and milestones in character progress.
(Apparently this Bear (Sloth Mage, as he's named in the game) is a key element to the story. So much so that the game took a screenshot for me.)
(My character is on the right, I can't remember who the dude on the left is. I think he's the boss-man.)
(The guy in the middle hunts Mages who get corrupted and turn to the dark arts. Something I hope to do soon!)
So yeah, so far so good. My character is being shipped off to fight in a war that she doesn't agree with.
(Like KOTOR you can choose responses to questions and I've been giving people as much hassle as possible, hoping to get into more fights. More fights = more XP.)
There's 6 possible opening chapters depending on your character race, class, etc.
