Eve Online

I originaly started with the intention of a great big article, detailing Eve and how much it rocks, all the wonderfull stuff you can do, all the subtle ways of getting into trouble and how much more adult a game it is than say Wow.
But as you all know im lazy. To elaborate, im so lazy I wont go and make a sandwich or a cuppa, I will call for a takeaway. I wont get up and find the telly remote i lost somewhere in the couch I'll just watch heartbeat. I even found it to taxing going to the fridge for beer. So i went onto comet ordered a new beer fridge, found an online offlicense and got my son to stock it up.
So anyway thats why I have decided to blog my Eve adventures for a week or so just to see if its fun. Or as I suspect a tad boring.

The wonders of 0my god space.

H-ADOC what a loverly system. Populated by wankers. In an attempt to make some Isk I wanderd over there at the request of a manufactiring contact. I was just having a mooch trying to decided if I wanted some CNR's when OMG its a gate camp. Not a camp gate wich sounds like a wonderfull weekend for Gav and Dave (that well know mockney band) but an actually cluster of bastards trying to kill me for dearing to use a warp gate! I know, what crazy fools.
The concept is an easy one to grasp, otherwise how could the americans and dutch manage it after all. You put a gang of ships by a gate and splat anyone who try to use it. Oh sure ppls write a lot of crap about what ships you need and what roles and the like but all in all you just try and make the other guys ship go boom.
So imagine my suprise when I turned up at the gate for EQX-AE system and counted 6 Battlecruisers and 3 Interceptors. I thought ohnoes its the retard squad. Well I really thought ffs im gonna die again. What happend was utter comedy. I was in my little stealth bomber so i cloaked and started running away as you do. When to my utter suprise the campers offered to let my go through for cash. Now I know this may sound reasonable but players who have claimed a system dont want anyone there and will kill you for kicks and to protect their system. I imediatly thought "??" then followed that with "AHA its not their system! I bet the fuckers are just chancing an extortion racket."
So a little trip over to my scanner showed me a POS in system. After a little digging I found the corp that owned it. A little more polite questioning got me talking to a nice guy called Brukhai Khan, who shit a brick about the gate camping bastards as that was their route to empire space for mining. Now im not really into this sort of stuff but HAHAHA it was fun watching a full war fleet warp in a blow the living shit out of these idiots. I even got to loot a few wrecks in all the chaos. So all in all a fun time oh and I even bought a CNR for 300mill. WootMcWoot
